On the 18th of March 2023, Toyota Tanzania hosted the 16th Dream Car local award ceremony, an event aimed at encouraging creativity and innovation among young children through art.

The event was divided into three categories, 7 years and under, 8-11 years, and 12-15 years. Each category had three winners, with each winner receiving a gold, silver, or bronze medal. The winners were selected based on their ability to create unique and innovative artwork that represented their vision of the future of mobility.

In the 7 years and under category, Husayn Twalib Kermalli was awarded the gold medal for his drawing of the Toyota World Ambu “Drive to Save,” while Simrat Kaur Ruprai won the silver medal for her drawing of the Toyota Electric car, and Hazel Aamiya Masaninga received the bronze medal for her drawing of the Toyota Earthquake car.

In the 8-11 years category, Shamytuse Ukindula Mwakisopile was awarded the gold medal for his drawing of the Toyota Marine ambulance, while Rehan Raza Ganji won the silver medal for his drawing of the Toyota Moving Water park, and Zahra Al Karim Panjwani received the bronze medal for her drawing of the Toyota Car Restores Children.

In the 12-15 years category, Ataa Abbas Abdi won the gold medal for his drawing of the KaI Car, Remanika Simhadri won the silver medal for her drawing of the Toyota Science car, and Saanvi Anand Bhatia received the bronze medal for her drawing of the Toyota Rescue car.

The ceremony was led by Mr. Jatin Pandya, Toyota Tanzania’s Managing Director, who spoke about the importance of nurturing creativity and innovation among young children. The children had the opportunity to learn more about Toyota vehicles and were given their certificates and gift vouchers. The event ended with snacks and refreshments for all attendees.

Overall, the 16th Dream Car local award ceremony was a great success, inspiring young children to think creatively and innovatively about the future of mobility.
