TOYOTA TANZANIA CELEBRATES 50 YEARS IN TANZANIA

In 2015 Toyota Tanzania celebrated its 50th anniversary as the sole and authorized Toyota Distributor in Tanzania, since 1965.

The Toyota Tanzania philosophy is a clear one; Deliver customer satisfaction and exceed customer’s expectations. In doing so Toyota Tanzania has had to adapt and tailor its business to cater for a rapidly changing Tanzania and the changing needs of clients and customers.

“This commitment has helped Toyota Tanzania maintain the position of market leader for over two decades founded on Toyota’s global heritage and reputation of manufacturing quality, reliable and durable new vehicles built for Tanzanian road conditions”, says Mahmood A. Karimjee, Executive Chairman and CEO.

Toyota Tanzania has, and will continue to provide cost effective, safe, and reliable transport solutions to both the Government of Tanzania and corporate fleet organisations.

In the past decade, Toyota Tanzania has expanded its automotive portfolio to include Yamaha motorcycles, Hino trucks, Case IH agricultural equipment and most recently SFL, a new full maintenance leasing company. This expansion in the portfolio has strengthened the company`s ability to offer a wider range of vehicle solutions to different market segments.

To strengthen the brand, Toyota Tanzania has consciously and proactively invested in its After Sales network with the introduction of a Vehicle Logistics Centre, a third workshop, new high tech service bays, a Body and Paint Centre, new Dar es Salaam city centre showroom and a dealer network of 3 branches and 14 dealerships across the country. The latest coup de grace will be the completion of their redesigned, modern and larger showroom on Nyerere Road, Dar es Salaam.

Toyota Tanzania believes it is important to recognize the past 50-year heritage: the challenges and the achievements. This it passionately believes, will make a difference for the future, and enable the opportunity to motivate and prepare for the next 50 years.
