For the 5th year running Toyota were major sponsors of the high profile charity Goat races event held at the Kenyatta Green in Dar es Salaam on Saturday June 1st.

The Goat Races were first introduced to Tanzania in 2001 and since then has raised over 600 million Tanzanian Shillings for local organisations and grass roots charities. It is now heading steadfastly towards the 1 billion mark.

4,200 visitors (not including 400 support staff) attended this year’s Goat Races, which is now one of the biggest days on Dar es Salaam’s social calendar.

The theme of the Toyota tent was fun and family with a Toyota kids zone including face painting, dream car drawing exercises and remote cars for little kids and big kids alike.

Three new models were displayed at the Toyota tent - the 4th generation RAV4 with its new design and class leading headroom and boot space, the Fortuner petrol automatic with 5-speed auto transmission, USB/ iPod connection and leather and wood interior and the FJ Cruiser V6 with its retry styling.

Amidst the herd of goats running around the track, the Toyota tent was again a huge success attracting eager and enthusiastic potential buyers and Toyota fans, old and young.
